Captain's practice for Jamestown school soccer team on Friday

There will be a captain's practice for anyone, including returning players, interested in trying out for the Lawn Avenue School soccer team this Friday, Aug. 29, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the school soccer fields. Participants should bring a ball, shin guards and a water bottle. For more information about the captain's practice, call 560-0145.

The coach for the co-ed team is Sean McAdam.

Students in grades 6 through 8 are eligible to tryout for the team. Tryouts will be held the first week of school and players must have a current Rhode Island state physical, completed within the last year, on file in order to participate in tryouts. Physicals should be turned in to school nurse Renie Sullivan no later than Sept. 3. Forms are available in the Lawn Avenue School office.
