Richard Paiva Jr., 41

Richard Paiva Jr., 41, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was the son of Richard Paiva Sr. of Jamestown and of the late Alice Travers and was the grandson of Alexandria Paiva of Jamestown and the late Manuel Paiva.

Richard worked as a barber at Boons Barber Shop in Narragansett. An Army veteran, he served with the 82nd Airborne Ranger Division for three years.

He is survived by his fiancée Lisa Wild and her daughter, Ivy Rose, and his three daughters, Sydney Alexandra, Madison Victoria and Morgan Adrianne Paiva. He was the brother of Jack Amaral of Hope Valley, Lori Bennett of Charlotte, N.C. and the late Adrianne Beretta.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Providence.
