Join library friends for a harbor cruise

The Friends of the Jamestown Library invite the public on a two-hour harbor tour onboard the Amazing Grace, on Thursday, Aug. 14.

The boat will load at the East Ferry at 3:45 p.m. for a cruise of Narragansett Bay.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar is available. Tickets are limited to 75 people and are $28 each.

Choose from indoor or outdoor seating on two spacious decks of this 55-foot, two-decked ferry and enjoy the spectacular bay panorama.

The narrated tour will fill everyone in on Newport's rich and colorful history, full of heroes and scoundrels. The ferry will cruise around the Newport Bridge, the Rose Island lighthouse, Jamestown and its architectural points of interest, Fort Adams, Newport's grand estates, and see America's Cup Yachts.

Tickets will be available only at the Jamestown library, 26 North Main Rd.
